Clough bemoans defensive errors

Derby boss Nigel Clough was left to rue some sloppy defending from his side as they threw away a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Doncaster.

Robbie Savage' first goal for the Rams was cancelled out by Paul Heffernan's third goal in his last four games before Mark Wilson turned the game on its head with his first goal of the season to move Rovers 10 points clear of third-bottom Norwich.

Clough said: ``It's disappointing to go 1-0 up with 45 minutes to go and not get a minimum of a point but we conceded two poor goals from our point of view.

``You get the lead and think, `hang onto it for five or 10 and frustrate them' but we weren't able to do that due to defensive errors.''

On Wilson's winner the former Burton boss added: ``It's a harmless shot and Stephen misjudged the bounce, it's 25 yards or 30 yards out and nine times out of 10 he would have saved it.''
