Burnley manager Owen Coyle has revealed he is in discussions to extend his contract at the Coca-Cola Championship outfit.
Coyle has earned a reputation as one of the brightest young managers in England following his arrival at Turf Moor from St Johnstone in November 2007.
His current deal runs until the summer of 2011 but he already spoken to the club about extending it further.
Coyle said: "I am here for as long as the club want me - they know that.
"So much so that the chairman (Barry Kilby), Brendan Flood (head of operations) and I have had a chat about making it (the contract) a bit longer.
"We will deal with that when the time is right and I am very much on-board for that because we do have ambitious plans to take this club on."
