Everton have Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada 'on their radar' at Goodison Park and could make a move for him in the summer, transfer insider Dean Jones has informed GIVEMESPORT.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic campaign for the Bundesliga outfit, which has attracted plenty of interested onlookers due to his consistent performances.

Everton latest transfer news - Daichi Kamada

Lately, German news outlet BILD has reported that Everton, Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the situation of Kamada, who will be a free agent in the summer unless he pens a contract extension at Deutsche Bank Park.

Competition is said to be vast, with 90Min claiming that Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain are all in the mix to sign the Japan international.

The Ehime-born ace has been in incredible form in 2022/23, notching 13 goals and five assists from 28 matches across all competitions, as per Transfermarkt - over his career he has 69 goals.

In 2021/22, Kamada also played an integral role in helping Eintracht Frankfurt win the Europa League, toppling Real Betis, Barcelona, West Ham United and Rangers en route to their famous triumph.

What has Dean Jones said about Daichi Kamada?

Transfer insider Jones believes that Everton may need to look to soon-to-be out-of-contract players like Kamada, owing to their well-documented financial situation and the impact it has on spending hefty fees on players.

Jones told GMS: "Yeah, I mean, they might have to look at him; we will have to see quite how bad or whether they're improved on their financial aspects of the club. At this stage, you wouldn't expect them to be having a big outlay. I think Sean Dyche is probably already understanding of that, but certainly, you know, he's a player already on their radar they'll be looking at."

Would Kamada be a good signing for Everton?

All things considered, bringing in Kamada would be something of a coup for Everton, given his versatility and prospective availability as a free agent at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old is capable of playing in central midfield, attacking midfield and on the left flank. He would add some creative energy to the Toffees alongside fitting in nicely with Sean Dyche's philosophy of maintaining a high work rate on the field.

FBRef notes that Kamada has managed to perform 59 shot-creating actions across 2022/23 in all competitions, demonstrating his ability to turn mundane patterns of play into genuinely dangerous offensive situations regularly.

His eye for goal will also be a key factor in why interest is so high in Kamada at the moment, with WhoScored showing that he has recorded an average of 1.3 shots per match in his exploits for club and country this term.

Only time will tell over whether Kamada will actually end up at Goodison Park; however, he is certainly a name that would excite the blue half of Merseyside.
