Adesanya began his professional fight career in Kickboxing, where he saw success in the GLORY promotion at Middleweight.

The ‘Last Stylebender’ would sign for the UFC and make his debut in 2018, defeating Rob Wilkinson via TKO in Perth, Australia. This fight would see Adesanya earn the Performance of the Night bonus.
