Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal is a Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) fighter who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the welterweight division.

Masvidal has been competing professionally since 2003; he has also competed at Bellator, Strikeforce, Shark Fights, and World Victory Road. He holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history, at 5 seconds.

He was born in Miami in the United States of America. Masvidal always seemed to be heading into the world of fighting as he was involved in street fighting at a young age.

His nickname is ‘Gamebred’ and he revealed that his brother helped him pick the name. The only belt he has held is one of the new ones, called the BMF belt.

He had a chance to win the welterweight belt in his last fight against Kamaru Usman back on the 11th July 2020, but he lost via a unanimous decision. He does have his chance at revenge however as the two are booked in for a rematch which will take place on the 24th April in Jacksonville, Florida in the United States of America. This fight is highly anticipated and ones which UFC fans cannot wait to see.
