Triple H absolutely 'loves' Gunther, and could be set to give him a main event run in WWE in 2023, GiveMeSport has learned.

In an interview with WrestleVotes, GiveMeSport was told that Gunther is one of stars that is 'next in line' for a spot at the top of the card.

In fact, it was even stated that fans shouldn't be too "surprised" to see the big Austrian as a World Champion in WWE before too long.

What are Triple H's plans for Gunther?

It's clear for all to see that Triple H is a big fan of Gunther, and GiveMeSport has been told that that's the case.

WrestleVotes explained to GiveMeSport in an interview that several people of influence within WWE, including Triple H, are big fans of the Intercontinental Champion.

Triple H loves him. They all love him ever since he came into his own at Clash at the Castle. I'm not just talking about Triple H, Road Dogg is big on him, Jason Jordan really likes him.

Gunther is one of the brightest stars in WWE right now

It's pretty obvious that Gunther is one of the names to have benefitted most from Triple H becoming Chief Content Officer, given that he's clearly someone that 'The Game' sees as the future of his company.

In fact, that statement is so true that WrestleVotes also told GiveMeSport that Gunther will likely be in the main event scene by the summer of 2023, potentially being "next in line" for a run with a World Championship in WWE.

Once WWE gets two World titles, you double the amount of people in the main event. Gunther is ready to step up. I expect by the summer to see him at the top of the card. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a World title. He might be next in line.

The feeling is that, at least according to WrestleVotes, once WWE separates the world titles, they'll need people to step up into the main event, and one of those names is likely to be Gunther.

Who will Gunther face at WrestleMania 39?

Late last year, it was reported by WrestlingNews.co that Triple H was planning to have Gunther face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

Chatter on that front has seemed to go quiet, but the aforementioned WrestleVotes has indicated that Gunther v Sheamus v Drew McIntyre is set for the show in a marquee match for the Intercontinental Championship.
