Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge reckons that Oliver Skipp is underappreciated at Tottenham.
Having returned from a highly-successful loan spell with Norwich last season, the midfielder has quickly become a key player for Nuno Espirito Santo and has featured in every Premier League game.
What do the stats say about Skipp?
According to WhoScored, Skipp, valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, has been Spurs' 14th best player this season with an average rating of 6.47, which is even below the likes of Dele Alli and Steven Bergwijn, two players that have struggled considerably.

But that's slightly harsh for the 21-year-old, who has the best passing success rate (90 percent) in the squad from players that have played more than 100 minutes this season.
Furthermore, two of Tottenham's three league defeats this season came without Skipp in the side and he showed his importance when he came off the bench in the north London derby last month with an improved second-half showing despite the 3-1 defeat.
Since Skipp has returned to the XI, Nuno Espirito Santo's side have got their season back on track after three consecutive defeats and certainly look a far team with the young midfielder in it.

He's yet to score or assist this season and directly contributed to just three goals in 45 Championship appearances for Norwich, although Bridge reckons that Skipp makes a difference in other areas of the pitch.
What did Bridge say?
When asked whether Skipp is slightly underappreciated, he told GIVEMESPORT: "I think Skipp maybe does the ugly stuff a lot more than we appreciate.
"It's difficult because Norwich loved him, and he did great in the Championship, and this is a huge, huge step up. But I do like what I've seen from his so far."
Was Skipp unfortunate to be dropped?
With just one defeat from the nine games that Skipp's started across all competitions and that was a wretched display at Crystal Palace, it's safe to say that the midfielder should be playing every week now.
Him and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg struck up an impressive partnership during the early weeks of the season and it was a strange decision from Nuno to drop him for the Chelsea game given the entire squad were way below par at Palace the previous week.
Furthermore, it was even more surprising that the Spurs boss didn't recall him for the north London derby, opting to pick an out-of-form and low-on-confidence Dele Alli instead.
Now, with every passing week, it's becoming more evident that Skipp should be in the team and there was simply no need for him to drop out.
